Yes, you will need a sponsor. Depending on your area of expertise, you will need an employer or agent sponsoring you, and you must show that you will be working in your area of expertise.

Yes, you will have to work for your sponsor in the role specified in your O1 visa petition. If you want to change jobs, your new potential employer will need to apply for a new O1 visa.
